Should we apply Early Decision or Early Action?
It depends on the student's certainty about a first-choice school and their financial aid needs, since Early Decision is typically binding. We help families weigh admit-rate advantages against flexibility before committing to either path.
How many colleges should my child apply to?
There's no fixed number, but a balanced list across reach, target, and safety schools usually lands in the range of eight to twelve applications. Quality of fit matters more than the total count.
Can a college rescind admission for a grade drop senior year?
Yes. Admission offers are conditional on maintaining the academic performance shown at the time of application, and colleges do occasionally rescind offers after a significant senior-year decline.
When should we file the FAFSA?
The FAFSA typically opens each fall for the following academic year. Filing as early as possible helps maximize aid eligibility, since some funds are awarded on a first-come basis.
